Versant Corporation (NASDAQ: VSNT), an industry leader in specialized data management software, announced today the appointment of Jerry Wong as the Company's CFO.

Pursuant to the restructuring of the Company over the past year, the position of CFO had been held by Jochen Witte, the Company's Chief Executive Officer. With the appointment of Mr. Wong, the Company has a dedicated Chief Financial Officer effective June 27, 2006.
