Ericsson, Lucent and Alcatel Join Versant’s Roadmap Advisory Board / Providing Contributions to Roadmap Strategy

Versant Corporation (NASDAQ: VSNT), an industry leader in specialized data management software, today announced that certain customers including Ericsson, Lucent and Alcatel have joined Versant’s Roadmap Advisory Board.

The technology focused Versant Roadmap Advisory Board has been established so that both customers and Versant may share thoughts and opinions on future requirements of data management. For the most recent committee meeting, Versant invited principal representatives of some of the most forward-thinking development teams in the telecommunications arena, all who recognize and appreciate the extensive power capabilities of the Versant Object Database for high performance representation of complex data and high availability requirements.

Among other items on the agenda, the group extensively discussed the features and requirements of the next major release of the Versant Object Database (Version 8.0) important to their business needs. The next generation of Versant’s flagship product is scheduled to be released in the latter half of calendar year 2007.

The next meeting of the Versant Roadmap Advisory Board will take place in the first half year of calendar year 2007.
