Versant (NASDAQ: VSNT) announced today that it plans to move its corporate headquarters from Fremont, California to Redwood City, California on or about June 1, 2007.  Versant’s new headquarters will be located at 255 Shoreline Drive, Redwood City, which the Company will occupy under a 36-month lease.  The facility is situated in an existing office building which will house the Company’s U.S. sales, marketing, support and administrative operations.

“As our current office lease in Fremont is expiring at the end of June 2007, we are pleased to announce that our new facility will be situated less than 10 miles from our current location. Our new site should provide an environment that further facilitates teamwork and communication.  Over the last two years, the Company has sought to focus more on our core competencies, and to achieve spending levels that are suitable to our revenue levels,” said Jochen Witte, Chief Executive Officer.  “The new building facility reduces the overall square footage of our U.S. headquarters from approximately 54,000 to approximately 6,800 square feet, providing suitable space for our corporate needs in the U.S., as well as reducing overall cash outflows related to building lease payments and other building related costs after June 2007.”
